Petaluma Community Center
Yesterday I drove up to Petaluma (no, I didn't get to pet a luma) to see my friend perform in a belly dance demonstration. Below is the tower of the community center where she performed, and a feathered denizen of the adjacent pond.

P-alum! My old home, I lived there for 14 years, went to Sonoma State and everything! Thanks for the memories! The lake where the feathered feature came from hosts one of my all time favorite signs which shows by a picture to be careful of duck crossing. And "p-alume"? It was the welcome sign when coming to town from the south that was missing a few of it's letters. It's probably still there, though I don't suppose if it is but hasn't been fixed that it would be very nice to say "Welcome to P". Yay! Thanks for the nostalgia!
