What Was I Thinking?

Okay, I get the feeling that hardly anyone is reading this blog, but no matter. I'll just keep posting, albeit maybe not so frequently.

The latest acquisition in my collection of blog feeds is Cognitive Daily, which features "A new cognitive psychology article every day." The articles so far have been well-written and quite accessible. I especially enjoyed the article on how we decide what we're seeing, which features (among other things) a painting by Salvador Dali. Another fascinating article was the one on what we're doing when we watch a movie, which examines our ability to predict what happens next in the story.

According to BlogLines, there are 6 people who have subscribed to your feed using their service (including you and me). I only have 2 people subscribed to Smarter Stuff (and one of them is me!). So, discounting our own subs to our own blogs, it's 5-to-1 in your favor.

If it is personally worthwhile (e.g. you find it fun, it makes you feel better, it has some use for you), then keep doing it.

Obscure humor: If Dave blogs, and no one reads it, what would Helen Keller think?

Thank you both.

I will keep blogging, for I do enjoy it (as I do reading both your blogs). Part of the problem is mine... I've been in crunch mode and haven't been commenting the blogs of my friends as often as is my wont. Alas, my novel is languishing, too. I hope to remedy both of these situations soon.

I am one of your bloglines subscribers and read you. I enjoy your posts and would resent it if you stopped ;)
There....
