Subway
While we were in Marin this past weekend packing and loading up a truck, Connie and I went to Subway for a sandwich. It's fresh, and tasty, and low in fat. It's the pepperoncinis that really make my mouth water for a Subway sandwich. Anyway, while we were eating, a guy looking like an auto mechanic came in and ordered a foot-long sandwich. It wasn't for him.
Turns out the guy had gone to the auto parts store with his dog. He went there a lot, and they knew him, and often gave the dog treats. While the guy was picking things up, the dog was wandering around.
A shout came from the back of the store. The guy's dog had found someone's sandwich and eaten it, and the owner was mad.
"Dude, lighten up, it's only a sandwich," the guy explained. "I'll get you another one."
And that's how he came to be at Subway ordering a sandwich that wasn't for him.
Eat at Subway. Even dogs like it.

Maybe you should get a job in advertising. What a catchy slogan, "Even dogs like it." :)
I used to live near a Starbucks and when I took the dogs for walks, they always insisted on walking by there because people would often give them bites of their food. One day a woman was holding a sandwich in her hand and Chaucer suddenly lunged at it and got a good lick. She wiped it with her hand and kept eating. Thank goodness she didn't mind because I don't carry money with me on walks.
Well even a dog has to eat too :o)
