27 Years

We've been married twenty-seven years today. Wow. And I'm still on my first wife!

I haven't yet written down the recipe for this, either. But I've been thinking about it. The basic ingredients are trust, respect, communication, honesty, loving yourself, and loving your partner as much or more than yourself. There are a lot of conflicting things that pull at you, and you have to find the balance. There's not a lot of black and white. You have to balance your work, your family and your personal time. You have to balance where you're willing to change, what you're willing to accept, and what you're willing to fight for. You have to balance now against the future. You have to accept that nobody is perfect, neither your partner nor yourself. You need to be giving and forgiving. But it's all worth it.

Happy anniversary, sweetie!

I no longer remember my helpful list of Cs, but I know that they included:

commitment, communication, compassion, compromise, cuddles, copulation, choreography...

You get the idea.

Here's another C for you!

Congratulations! Well done!

Congrats, dude! And if you don't understand what candace meant with "choroeography", then you've lost a bit of spark [nudge, nudge, wink, wink]
