Switched!

In winter we put studded tires on the car, because our local roads ice over and get slippery. The law says they have to be removed by April 1st, and if we wait to the last minute, the wait at the tire shop to have them swapped out with our regular tires can take hours. So yesterday we switched the studded tires and it only took an hour. Of course, it started snowing as soon as we got home, and it's still snowing today.

I noticed that we were charged less than usual to have the tires switched. When I asked about that (yes, I look a gift horse in the mouth), the tire guy explained that sometimes we might get charged the rate for pickup trucks because our car has largish tires, but it's a gray area. Next time, I'll try to make sure we get charged the lower rate. It's not like we're driving an SUV!
