Mio Sushi

Recently I had lunch at Mio Sushi, a new Japanese restaurant in the north end of Bend, which was reviewed recently by Bend Oregon Restaurant.

The service was reasonable, and when you leave you get a hearty "Thank you!" from the kitchen staff.

I ordered the Beef Teriyaki, pictured above. There was plenty of food, and it was very tasty. What surprised me, however, was that the quantity of meat seemed on the low side, and the beef came in little scraps mixed in with the vegetables, as if it was left over from some other meal. When I order this dish from other restaurants, I'm accustomed to getting strips of beef, such as pictured in this random Flickr photo. Tasted great, though.

Next time, I think I'll try the Beef Yakiniku.

Hmmm, maybe it was little scraps from other people's meals. Bend is big on recycling, right? :)
