Name That Movie
We watched a movie on DVD tonight that I haven't seen in 20 years. Can you name it? It's got Jeff Goldblum in it. Does that help? Nope, not The Fly (never seen it). Not Independence Day, although that's a favorite of mine.
Did I mention it has Michelle Pfeiffer? Nude! Or her sister Dedee? Or Dan Aykroyd (not nude)? David Bowie? Vera Miles? David Cronenberg? Roger Vadim? John Landis? Or a cast of other surprising names?
Lamentably, it's not a great movie, which is why the name isn't coming to mind for you. But it's quirky and amusing and vividly portrays life in Los Angeles in the 80's, including Cal Worthington and his dog Spot, Rick Dees and crazy denizens of the street. Gas was 99 cents a gallon. sigh

You really got me disoriented with your new "feed from friends" section. I thought that I was looking at your blog, but then I saw my titles and got confused. I then thought that I was looking at my blog, but it didn't look right. My head was starting to spin and then I realized what was going on.
You need to go easier on the ditsy blondes in your audience. (Thanks for including me, though.) :)
By the way, why don't you get spammed like I did? Do you think that it is my provocative titles that is the problem?

I've been wondering the same thing, Melissa. One possibility is that it's because I don't use the Blogger server (blogspot). Since I don't have the blogspot toolbar at the top of my blog, maybe the spammers don't find me with the Next Blog button. The other thing is, you haven't deleted all the spam, so they try putting more there. I believe that, like graffiti, you can reduce its proliferation by quickly and ruthlessly removing it.
So I'm back to take a guess. I think the title had the word "night" or "time" in it. "Night moves"? But that sounds like an 80's Tom Cruise teen flick...
Okay, so I guess I'm not actually taking a guess. But I'm not gonna look and then post it. I'll leave my hint, maybe it'll help someone...

One of those movies nobody ever saw.
One of my favorite movies that hardly anyone ever saw was Clay Pigeons. A quirky, sexy, funny movie about murder. One of the best lines from the movie:
Shelby (Janeane Garofalo): Barney? Could you not poke the body with a stick, please?
