Religious Fish

For the past few days, I've been a bit under the weather. (Are people ever over the weather?) Yesterday, I had aches, chills, a sore scalp and my skin felt like I had a sunburn. In the past when I've had these symptoms, they were accompanied by fever, but my forehead was cool, so I didn't worry about it. And did I mention I was constipated?

I took a nap in the afternoon, and when I woke up, my forehead was hot. Connie stuck a thermometer in my mouth, and a few minutes later removed it and said, "Holy mackerel!" I don't know what mackerel have to do with anything, but she said my temperature was 103. Aspirin brought down the fever, and relieved some of the other symptoms, but I still don't feel spry. I've been reading your blogs, I just haven't felt up to commenting. Even about Sarah. (See, I was real sick!)

What's it mean if your lower abdomen is tender?

Update: I just consulted Dr. Google, and it sounds like I may have diverticulitis. ewww

If you need to be disimpacted, Sarah and I will be glad to come over. :)

Seriously, people with diverticulitis are normally hospitalized and given IV antibiotics. It is a serious illness. Please see your doctor or go to the ER. It could also be appendicitis, among other things. See a doctor and I mean it!

take your butt (and the rest of you) to the doctor or ER, goofy!

I had a friend that was in the hospital for a week for that.

Eep! My dad had diverticulitis a while back and it was NOT fun.
Hope you feel better, Dave. Let us know what the doc says after you've seen one because we all know that you are going to see one.

Big high-fiber hugs to you. ;)

Thanks for all your well wishes. Dr. Google's diagnosis was confirmed, I have a mild case of diverticulitis. I'll be on two antibiotics for the next two weeks. bleh

(Tenderness was left side, not right side, by the way.)

Sausage??? 8P

I'm glad to hear that you only have a mild case and are being treated. Are you going to have to make some dietary changes?

(Not everyone's appendix is on the right side.)

For various reasons, I haven't been eating as much fiber as I normally do. I'll be going back to my normal eating habits, which includes more fiber than I've been getting.

Sorry, girls. No need for digital disimpaction. :)

Dave, you don't know what you missed. Or, maybe you do. Anyway, Let us know if we can be of service in the future. We have a lot of experience in this area and are good at what we do. :)

Lisa, what's wrong with being disgusting? It's what I do best. :)

Sorry to hear about the troubles, sounds icky. I'm glad to be one of the few blogs honored with a comment! You didn't leave any germs behind when you visited tho, did you?

btw, checked up on Letterboxing, sounds like geo-caching with an artistic flair! I'll stick to keychains and pokemon cards for a while yet!

I sure don't like the sound of that. (Don't like the looks of that either).

Hey, look at it this way, at least it's not the Bird Flu. Seriously, hope you're feeling better. Anything that ends in ...culitis is never a good thing. There is no ice-creamculitis, or cookieculitis, or vacationculitis...hope you're up and moving around soon. :)
