Significant Others?

I read quite a few blogs. Of those, quite a few are personal blogs. Of those personal blogs, most of the authors have significant others. But what do we hear from those significant others (SOs)? Almost nothing.

Mary's hubby Sean comments on her blog. He even has a blog of his own! beFrank's wife Dellis comments on his blog, and sometimes (not often enough) she posts on it. That's two blogs out of all the ones I read, where the SO contributes. What do hear from GemmaK's hubby? Nada. Lisa's? Zip. My wife? Nothing.

Why is that, I wonder? Is it that the SO is disinterested, or that the author prefers it that way? Is there fear involved?

I'm curious. What are your thoughts on getting the significant others involved? Operators are standing by.

Hi, Honey. Suprise! Its really me. Now, I ask you, do you really want me to post comments on your blog regularly? Or perhaps we should just keep our thoughts private. Right, Snuggles?

You mean that there really is a Connie? She isn't a figment of your imagination? Wow! Who knew?

Snuggles, can we see a photo someday? :)

Ut-oh. Now I've done it. I mean, Hi Honey! Welcome to the blog. ;)

I think Debbie would be disappointed to hear that her mother is a figment of my imagination. :)

Hi, Connie!

Dave, you've forgotten Shari, whose SO, Brent, not only has his own blog but has a multiple blue furry personality which fills up yet another blog. Um, yeah. ;)

It helps if ---

a) you have a blog;

b) you post to your blog more than once in a blue moon (::nervous cough::);

c) your orthographically-challenged S.O. has access to an adequate spell checker (just discovered that my Google Toolbar has one);

d) your S.O. knows or can remember the URL to your blog;

e) your S.O. has any inclination to actually access a computer (::winks at Lilly::);

f) you have no objection to your S.O. reading the contents of your blog;

g) anyone care to add to this list?

Hello, Mary (and Frizzy). I guess after being with him for 30 years, it had to rub off on me eventually.

Monsters do SO count! LOL! We don't comment on each other's blogs very often, mainly because we we talk so much at home and throughout the day.

Hi Connie! Wow, 30 years! We just had our 15 year anniversary, so we have a ways to go to match your years together!

Hi, Shari
Yes, its pretty cool when you meet your sole mate at the tender age of 18. Fifteen years is nothing to sneeze at. That's great!

My husband doesn't read my blog. I mean, he would I'm sure if I asked him and maybe he does (secretly) and just never says anything about it. He knows it's there but he is usually computering to his geeky computery friends. We live in a three computer home so we are not on the same computer and I guess I never said "hey sweetie, you wanna read my blog?" AND I don't post regularly enough. I'm a "once in a blue moon blogger."

BTW we have looked at real estate (online) recently in your neck of the woods. We could get a pretty nice home for what we pay here in S. California for a very moderate S. Calif. home with no land.
