Quickies

The fires in Southern California are scaring us. We have friends in Malibu, and friends and family in Canyon Country. We hated the Santa Ana winds when we lived in SoCal. Here's hoping the weather improves. On a lighter note...

Tonight I tried a fruit bar with an appetite suppressant in it.
I couldn't finish it.

A couple days ago our yard was covered in snow. Today it was 71 outside.
Our weather is bipolar.

Yesterday we attended a music performance at the libary.
I wonder if the library has a booking agent.

There was a recent Dilbert comic in which Dilbert is beset by change requests on a project which I'll bet has a fixed deadline. I can't tell you how many times I've had that happen at work. I once worked for a company where the CEO would wander around seeing how our projects were coming, and he'd make us change the color scheme.
Dilbert isn't a comic strip, it's a reality show!

A co-worker sent an email today in which he complained about the difficulty of a task our manager thought would be easy. The email had a line that struck me funny:
"I need windshield wipers for my rose-colored glasses!"
