Chestnuts Toasting...

This time of year I like to heat up chestnuts in the microwave. Unfortunately, I overcooked one today and it caught fire. Turns out we've had these chestnuts a little too long and they dried out. Oops. Poor Connie was upset because the smell of burnt chestnut replaced the aroma of the bread she had just baked.

Connie sprayed air freshener with some scent that reminds me of the perfume of elder women. Our neighbor is coming over shortly, and the house is going to smell like we set an old lady on fire.
