Tidbits

According to the Cherry Poppin' Daddies MySpace page, they're gonna be at the Bend Summer Fest this year. Sweet!

There's gonna be a big music thang called One Family Gathering in Christmas Valley in May. Music 24/7, including Tyler Spencer and dozens of acts. Anyone going?

According to a news article I read, the trains in India often have a toilet that consists of just a hole that empties onto the tracks. ewwww. But wait, there's more... On Tuesday, a woman went to the bathroom and unexpectedly gave birth, 10 weeks early... and the baby fell through the hole onto the tracks! The woman passed out, and it wasn't until an hour or so later that the woman's condition was discovered. And the baby? It was found on the tracks, and was still alive!

I was out clearing some ice off the driveway yesterday, and our neighbor Karen stopped by as she was walking her dog. She told me that one of our neighbors (who lives behind us) had found some suspicious tracks outside her house, and called Fish & Game to investigate. (No, it wasn't Sasquatch. That's another story.) Anyway, Fish & Game said the tracks belonged to a large cougar, and that it may have had cubs with it. Karen also noticed an increase in missing pet flyers on the neighborhood bulletin board. Now she's keeping her dog inside the house.

Never a dull moment.

That is a big hole for a baby to fall through.

I wonder if the airlines in India use a similar system for sewage? :)
