That was funny and sounds like a good idea, but I would miss cotton, bread and corn. :)
I've never seen cotton growing in California, but I've seen plenty of west coast bread and corn.
A few weeks ago, a Native American friend of mine just north of Bend took me through his backyard and picked carrots, tomatoes and corn as I watched and dumped them in a bag I was holding. I felt like a trick-or-treater! :)
The veggies were wonderful.
