I'm Repeating Myself

I've been going through the eMusings archives, coughing from the dust, and I just noticed that back in September last year I had a post about the consequences of human longevity. When I posted about that earlier this month, I had no recollection of the earlier one! I'm too young to be having senior moments! Grrrr.

Did I mention that I'm repeating myself?

I'm glad that you re-visited this issue because otherwise, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to put in my "two cents." I have found a lot of material in your archives that I wish I could comment on. Am I correct in assuming that it is too late to go back?

Yes and no. :)

You can always add a comment to an earlier post. It used to be the problem that nobody would notice your nice new comment, however I recently added a column to the sidebar (on the right) that displays the latest comments, so now if you do so, it'll catch people's attention. (Mine, at any rate.)

Blogger is supposed to send me an email when anyone posts a comment, but since their comment system is experiencing, shall we say, humours, the result is that I almost never get them. (Except when I post a comment myself, and then of course I get an email, when I already know about that comment!)

I lied. On further reflection, I remembered that the Recent Comments feature works by looking at the comments on this particular page. It won't show comments added on the archive pages.

So, you can still add comments to old posts, but nobody is likely to notice unless you send me an email or you add a comment to a more recent post mentiong the other one. Sorry. :(
