Oh, God
Across the country, billboards have been sprouting up with quotes, ostensibly from God, that are funny and thought-provoking. Example:
"Let's meet at my house Sunday before the game." - God
There's a list of the billboards from God that includes all the known statements... along with some humorous counter-examples that have been made up. (Hosted by Atheism Awareness.) If religious humor offends you, God suggests that you don't click the link.

The billboards were funny, but the counter-examples were hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. :)
I've seen those around Michigan too. I didn't realize I had actually seen so many I only didn't recognize 3 of them:
"Keep using my name in vain, I'll make rush hour longer."
"Big Bang theory - you've got to be kidding."
"I need to be in school."
The last two might have been worth a photo if I saw them :)
It's possible the others just seemed familiar because a church had posted them in front.
I think I've seen only one or two in California, and I don't recall where they were. Certainly not in Marin. We don't do billboards. :)
