Yogurt and Technology

For the past two weeks I've been on antibiotics. Two of them at once. blugh. I'm so glad to be done with those. One of Connie's co-workers gets diverticulitis, and advised me to eat yogurt to replace the bacteria in my gut that aid digestion. I can picture him looking at me and saying, "The man ain't got no culture!"

Have I mentioned that I hate yogurt? Been there. Tried that. Hated it! Isn't there a better way to get new germs in me? Kissing a hooker maybe? blugh. I hate yogurt, is what I'm saying here.

Anyway, moving right along, tonight I attended the monthly meeting of my writers group. There were five women there and myself. The other guy in our group couldn't make it. All of the writers in our group use computers, which pleases me no end, even if most of them are Macs. Tonight I discovered that two of them had been traveling, and each had taken digital pictures, put them on their computer and created a slideshow. Awesome!

The meeting is at a different member's home each month. Tonight, it was out past Fairfax, in the rural darkness of West Marin, and one of the women mentioned that she'd used her GPS to get there, and it made finding the street in the dark so much easier. I love it that women aren't shunning technology. Even my wife, who's never been into computers or gadgets, likes the slippers I got her that light the way automatically when she walks in the dark.

I am not alone.

Just take L. acidophilus supplements, silly! You get like a billion little buggers in one simple swallow (on an empty stomach).

Yogurt schmogurt.

Mary is right about the bacteria capsules. That's what we give to our patients.

You married someone who is not into computers and gadgets? It must be true that opposites attract. :)

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to try the capsules. Anything to not have to kiss a hooker, er, eat yogurt. :)

Here're those slippers, gem: BrightFeetSlippers

Those slippers are so great! LOL! I'm a tech girl. I love new gadgets and going to Sharper Image. And I think there's lots of us out there. I don't like reading instructions though. I like when my hubby reads them for me and then tells me how to use my new gadget.

yogurt? Antibiotics? That reminds me of a funny story back from college... eww. No, never mind. You don't want to know.

WTG with the technology, it's obviously catching!
