Honey, We're Home!

After two trips to Central Oregon in a rented Ford Econoline cargo van with loads of boxes and furniture, it was time to take the plunge. Today I loaded up our little station wagon with the wife, both cats, and a shipload of "essentials" and drove up to our new house to make it our new home.

First, we had to get through and around the flooding in the Bay Area. Then drive for hours and hours, then drive on highway with snow and ice without putting on the chains that we bought yesterday. I never planned to put them on, but I knew if I didn't buy them then I'd need them. (I'm just contrary that way.)

I still need to make trips back to Marin to pick up the rest of our furniture and possessions, but they'll be trips from Oregon to Marin, not the other way around.
