Smart Chicken Dilbert
The other day Connie mentioned "the smart chicken Dilbert". I thought I misheard her, so I had her repeat her comment. Same thing. Strange images flitted through my mind. Dilbert and a chicken. Savage Chickens. A chicken with brains.
"One more time," I asked. She repeated her statement, and finally, I got it.
Connie was talking about "the smart chick in Dilbert". Holy mondegreen, Batman!

That sounds like some of the discussions I have at work on a daily basis. Sometimes I have to hand people a pen and ask them to write it down.
A few years ago our daughter asked me a question. I don't recall the question, but my answer was, "I'm not a mind reader." Her reply was "What? You're not buying weiners?" It's now a long running joke in the family.
