Word of Mouth
There's a job opening for a C++ programmer. Chris tells Dave, who tells John, who told Jen, who told me, and now I have a job interview this week. I'm hoping it proves to be a good fit. I love the power of networking!

Yea, this is how this town runs. How do you think I got my job?
Woot! Good luck and I hope it works out. :)
I need to make more friends so I can land interviews :-)
Congrats! Good luck to ya!
Thanks! :)
Kick a$$ and take names, my friend! Good luck!
Best of luck to ya Dave.
I hate being the idiot here, but what is a C++ programmer? Anyway, I hope that you get the job. Would you still be able to stay in your current location?
I just noticed your snow pictures. It's getting deep. Exactly how deep is it, if you don't mind going outside and checking for me?
Go, Dave! Go, Dave!
Thanks, all. The interview seemed to go well, now the nail-biting part where I wait for a call back. :)
The snow outside is about 3 feet deep, less in some places and more in others, and really high along the driveway where the snowblower and my shoveling have built tall mounds of snow.
Oh, forgot to answer that one...
I'm a computer programmer. I write programs, and I write them in the C++ computer language (most of the time). Other languages I've used include assembly, BASIC, Pascal, Lisp, APL, Java, JavaScript, ActionScript, C and Ruby, but my favorite is currently C++.
Good for you. Knock 'em dead! :)
