On the Road Again
We'll be driving down to Los Angeles tonight to see family and take care of a post-surgical sister-in-law. I'm hoping to find an open WiFi network again in her apartment complex, but don't be surprised if the blog is quiet for the next few days. Take care, my friends.

Have a safe trip! Bring some cleaner air down with you, please. ;)
So I'm reading blogs this Friday afternoon. Shortly after reading yours earlier, I stopped by my friend MommaK's and started clicking through her flickr photos (I requested that she post a photo of her flip-flops. Don't ask.).
I came across this photo and thought of you.
Enjoy!
Have one (and a smile) on me. ;)
Drive safely, have a great visit, look forward to all the gossip when you return :o)
mmmm... Coke! :)
Made it to North Hollywood safely (er, Valley Village, :mutter:).
There's about 4 WiFi networks I can detect, two of them weren't secured, and one of them had live internet, and here I am.
Trip down went fine. Passed a hill in the East Bay with about three hundred goats munching on the brown grass, spaced about four or five feet apart. Never seen so many goats in one place in my life.
Stopped at a fruit stand to get cherries and nuts, and saw three bunnies hopping around outside.
Just south of Gorman, the whole hillside east of the freeway was in flames. Lots of smoke, but hopefully won't reach you, Mary.
Thanks for thinking of me, you two.
:hugs:
Now I know why I smelled smoke last night. I was too tired to care and went to bed.
What does one do with a herd of goats? Milk them? Sell them for goat barbeque? Some of my coworkers, on special occasions, will buy a dead goat and roast it in the backyard.
Glad that you had a safe trip!
One rents a herd of goats to cities and counties for brush removal, which is what I bet was going on in this case.
