Come On In

I know I promised some pictures of the new house. I never got around to taking a picture of it from the outside, I'll have to do that next time I'm up there. For now, here are some shots from inside:

The back yard

The living room and front yard

Soooooo beautiful Dave! I love the fireplace and all the snow! The backyard is incredible . . . I want those trees! Do you live near Muir woods now?

Man, those icicles. Be careful!

It's beautiful, but where on earth is it? That's snow!

Actually, Shari, I'm living near Muir Woods now, but the new house is in central Oregon, right by the Deschutes River. The trees are jack pines, which aren't as nice as the ponderosa pines which grow nearby... but still great trees.

The fireplace is gas. I prefer a wood-burning fireplace, but this pollutes less, and it lights with the flick of a switch. I'm thinking of adding wood paneling to the walls by the fireplace. The grey paint is kind of blah. I'll have to see how it looks with our furniture inside.

Today we drive down to Los Angeles for the holidays, then next week drive home, then start moving north. Whee!

Ooo, Oregon!

The pollution factor is one of the big reasons why we are happy to have a gas fireplace, too.

Happy traveling and moving, Dave. Merry Christmas to you and your family. :)

Snow, snow, snow! It's a real, live, winter wonderland! And to think, winter just arrived!

The fireplace is way cool even if it's not wood-burning (call us old-fashioned). I love the way that you captured the sunlight in the fireplace.

Which direction does the front of the house face?

I've got to start researching the mileage involved in visiting you up there. I've got all the winter gear that I need. ::proudly picks up her snow boots and shows them to you::

See all of you soon! ::hugs and kisses::

Merry! Merry! Happy! Happy!

nice house! Looks like you're in a wooded area... outside of town?

It's in a small community south of town with half-acre lots. I like peace and quiet when I program. :)
