It's a Mystery

Of the mystery books we picked up recently at Sunriver Books & Music, I have two favorites.

Randy Wayne White writes like John D. McDonald (of Travis McGee fame), and his characters are also based in Florida. It must be something in the water.

Edna Buchanan writes like a cross between Robert Parker (of Spenser fame) and Janet Evanovich, and is also based in Florida. Good characters, jam-packed stories with twists and turns, and really good writing. I'm jealous.

Are you still only 73.33 percent done with your novel? Get back to work, so that we can read it someday. You're probably better than you think. Btw, where does your novel take place?

My novel has been on hold since last year. My spare time has been eaten up by little things like packing, moving, unpacking, etc. I hope to get back to it sometime this year, but I'm still busy with fixing up the new house and exploring. Just not enough hours in the day. :)

By the way, the novel is set in a fictional town in West Marin. The sequel will be in Central Oregon. :)

Dak-Ind, if I make the best-seller list, I'll give you a copy! ;)
