The Simpsons - Classical!

You may remember me linking to a Live-Action Opening Sequence of The Simpsons. And you've no doubt seen my links regarding cool music renditions, classical and otherwise. Now, Jake at UtterlyBoring.com has a YouTube video of The Simpsons Theme performed in a classical style by the Aranjuez Guitar Quartet. Awesome. I just hope all this cross-linking between my posts and Jake's doesn't cause some super-string tesseract to suck the internet past the event horizon of a web 2.0 black hole.

The Simpsons Theme (.wmv version).

That was great. I've never heard of a guitar quartet. They looked like they had fun being creative with that piece.

I haven't heard of a guitar quartet either, although I suppose some mariachi bands might qualify. I do enjoy string quartets, like the Turtle Island String Quartet.

Danny Elfman's compositions are much more sophisticated than people give them credit for.
