Westward Ho!
Our house is surrounded by trees. We know there are mountains and buttes in every direction, but we can't see our buttes. If we could look west from above treetop level, it would probably look like this:

Maybe you could build a really high observation deck, possibly with an elevator, to see the mountains. :)

I may be mistaken, but I believe the large mountain is Mt. Bachelor, and the jagged one at the far right is Broken Top. I think The Sisters would be off to the right of the photo. I don't recall the names of the two low buttes.
