Goodman Great Idea #2

I love Chinese food. I love Japanese food. Aside from the food itself, one of the things I enjoy is eating with chopsticks. I love chopsticks.

My dad taught me to use chopsticks when I was a kid. I like the way they feel in the mouth. Much more natural than steel utensils. I love popping a bite into Connie's mouth with chopsticks. Aside from eating with chopsticks, there are a 101 uses for chopsticks, everything from using them as hair sticks to improvised splints.

Chopstick food is easy to eat. Ever notice how chopstick food has been cut into bite-sized pieces? No cutting or sawing, just grab and gulp.

If I were to open a restaurant, I would name it Cubes and serve mostly food cut into cubes. Cubes of meat, cubes of veggies, cubes of fruit, cubes of cheese. You'd order a combo of meat and veggies, then a selection of sauces or dips. With a fork, toothpick or, yes, chopsticks, you'd dunk your cubes in your dip and pop them in your mouth. Or your friend's mouth. (Assuming you're both healthy. Standard legal disclaimers apply.)

Isn't that a great idea? Now go ahead and open one here in Central Oregon. Just the thought of it is making me hungry.

Do you remember in the original Star Trek that the food was always in colorful cubes? Perhaps that is the wave of the future.

I can do chopsticks on a piano, but not too coordinated when eating with them.

Your restaurant idea sounds very similar to a fondue place. There's one called the Melting Pot (clever) here in Seattle. This place was the longest and slowest meal ever.
