Hawaiian Observations
Our daughter Debbie moved to Hawaii a couple weeks ago and is going to school there. She often exclaims, "It's so pretty!" I've enjoyed reading some of her observations on her blogs, and some of our friend's responses...
Debbie: Rainbows hide in alleyways and dark corners here, they pop up in places no self-respecting mainland rainbow would be seen.
Debbie: 12 bites in 6 days - the downside of living in/near a rainforest. Maybe I should've gotten a malaria shot before I came.
Rusty: Hawaii didn't have mosquitos until the arrival of European sailing ships. Mosquitos arrived breeding in the water casks and invaded when the casks were brought ashore to be refilled. Rats too. Isn't progress wonderful?
Debbie: Freakin' haoles!
Debbie is a haole herself.

Gotta love her sense of humor.
:)
She has a way with words. Where could she have gotten that from? :)
Must be her mother. :)
