Birds Flock to Us
Today we had another half dozen deer come by. They ate more of my flowers. :(
We were also visited by what I believe is a Cooper's Hawk (pictured above left). :)
And, finally, we've adopted another blue jay. This one is a Steller's Jay (pictured above right). So far we've gotten him to eat peanuts off the back deck, but not if we're standing too close. He's also learning to come when I whistle. It's a start.

Well since it's spring time birds are also all around here. I even saw some eagles and hawks as well
How lovely :o)
When Rusty and I were snow camping in Sequoia National Park, the Steller's Jays were all over the place.
They did NOT enjoy getting their picture taken. They were very uncooperative about standing still for more than a second. And, in low lighting conditions, I'm surprised that I was able to get even one sharp image.
This one might be the best.
Excellent shot!
That's really cool that he's starting to come when you whistle! We see a lot of Scrub Jays down in San Diego and the only way that I can take their picture is by feeding them. I got one great shot of him eating a cranberry nut bar from Starbucks. LOL!
Candace, great shot! I just visited your Flickr photos and your ostrich is now one of my favs. :-)
