Don't Flush!

Connie and I are pretty conservation minded. We recycle. We turn off lights. We don't waste water.

One of the ways we save water is by sharing flushes. If one of us is in the bathroom, and the other needs to use it, we call out, "Don't flush!" We have low-flow toilets, but still, a couple gallons is a couple gallons.

It occurred to me the other day that we probably say "Don't flush" more than we say "I love you." Does that seem wrong to you?

So we've now started saying, "Don't flush! I love you!" Is that better?

Sometimes I wonder what people would think if they heard us in the car or at home when we're alone. I'd be committed for sure.
